ALGEAZYM Homogenous - When technology reaches its limits.

View into the fermenter
The climatic conditions of recent years are reflected in the quality of the harvested crop. Drought stress is a frequently occurring issue in the cultivation of energy crops and renewable raw materials. High dry matter content and fibre content make efficient and continuous plant operation difficult and put a strain on the technology. Floating or layered substrate must be stirred by external agitators and restricts the activity of microorganisms. This results in increased power consumption and a reduced gas yield due to reduced degradation.
In order to make the substrate accessible to the microorganisms again and to reduce the viscosity in the long term, stratification, clumping and phase separation must be dissolved and avoided. ALGEAZYM Homogen is able to homogenise the fermenter contents again and make them more flowable. Due to its high proportion of alginates, it forms a 3D structure on which fibre-rich substrate is arranged so that it is evenly distributed and does not separate again after stirring. In addition, the messenger substances contained in the algae activate cell growth and enzyme production for improved substrate degradation.

The most important facts in brief:

  • Dissolves and prevents stratification, phase separation and clumping
  • Ensures homogeneous fermenter content
  • Increases substrate degradation by enzymes
  • Stimulates fermenter biology through messenger substances from the algae
  • Reduces power consumption and wear of the agitator technology
  • Improves gas yields
